Thomas Ehretsmann's portrait of Bob Dylan can now be found in the most recent Rolling Stones Magazine. The piece is accompanying an article about Dylan's new record, SHADOWS IN THE NIGHT, which features 10 popular Frank Sinatra songs. Thomas's portrait of Dylan has a mood reminiscent to some album covers from the 40's era and pays homage to the albums origins.

This Saturday, January 24th, Gregory Manchess' solo show at Arte Verissima Gallery in Oakland, California is opening and will be on display until March 8th! The first of a series of many, "Weightless" is an exhibition in which Gregory is tapping into the viewers' memory by delving deep into the general elemental conditions we all experience everyday. Just as smell can instantly incite a memory, Gregory is playing with the viewer's visual and experiential memories by using the simple technique of familiarity. The viewer is part of the product in this exhibition as the response to each painting becomes an integral part to the painting itself.

“The fun of the Super Bowl is the week leading up to it..."
"I obviously take a lot of pride in what I do on the football field , because that has the ability to influence a lot of people. That puts smiles on people's faces. That gives people a pep in their step on Monday morning when they go back to work."

- James Laurinaitis
"The truth is the Super Bowl long ago became more than just a football game. It's part of our culture like turkey at Thanksgiving and lights at Christmas, and like those holidays beyond their meaning, a factor in our economy."
"I think it's human nature that we all tend to do much better in groups than we do alone."
"I think as far as any kind of pressure on a football team or on an individual in professional sports really depends not only on that individual but the leadership they have on the team and the leadership they have on the coaching staff. A lot of times, they can divert some of those pressures off of the individual and off of the team."

Back in 2011, during the eurozone crisis, Switzerland place a 1.2 cap on the Swiss Franc to the Euro and acted true to its part as the traditional cash safe haven. Yesterday, that cap was removed and the Swiss Franc soared against the Euro, as did the mortgage rate of anybody who saw Switzerland as their stable mortgage option. Michal Dziekan did three personal pieces on this topic, check out the striking images below.
Edward Kinsella recently completed this portrait of Marilyn Manson for Rolling Stone's review of Manson's new album, The Pale Emperor. And the adrenaline wakes you up if you weren't properly alert."
"I like adrenaline, that's something I feed off. I'm just going to go out there and do my best"
