Douglas Smith - Princesses Behaving Badly

Art directors often come to Douglas Smith for book covers. Is it his ability to tell stories or his throwback style? I'm thinking both. Here is a new book featuring his illustration, Princesses Behaving Badly, that is being released in November. In addition to the cover, he also did chapter opener spots but you'll have to buy the book to take a look at those.

C.F. Payne - Locker Room Drama, WSJ

The Wall Street Journal recently published this illustration from C.F. Payne for their article, Locker Rooms: Lights! Cameras! Naps! NFL teams are now forced to install cameras permanently in their locker room. Is it to catch all the drama? The pre-game speech? The reckless behind-the-scenes player behavior? Probably not as the teams confess it's more likely to be a snooze-fest than a soap opera.
