I will be lecturing at Dawson College in Montreal, Quebec on Monday, April 28th at 1pm. In addition, I will be giving a painting demonstration on Tuesday at the school, and a portfolio lecture on Wednesday. All events begin at 1pm. If time allows, I may be giving a figure drawing demonstration, as well.

Short notice, as usual, but hopefully those in the area who are interested can attend.

An Evening With Liz Lomax at Society of Illustrators

lomax_top.jpglomax_bottom.jpgLiz Lomax will be speaking about her work at the New York Society of Illustrators on April 30 from 6:30-9:30pm as part of the SOI Spring Lecture Series. Tickets are $10, $6 for students. More information can be found on their website, societyillustrators.org.Liz Lomax is widely recognized as one of the leading figures in her field. Her unique process involves designing and sculpting characters in their environments and then digitally photographing them for illustration. Her work has won numerous awards and has appeared in many annuals and books on illustration. Liz was the original Chair of the Society of Illustrators Dimensional Salon. She planned and implemented the Society’s first three-dimensional, media-specific exhibition. For several years Liz taught 3-D illustration at Parsons School of Design NYC and has taught at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Her extensive client list includes Rolling Stone, TIME, Miramax, The New York Times, Der Spiegel, and American Airlines.

Sterling Hundley Honored at the NY Society of Illustrators


Sterling Hundley was awarded two gold medals for his work for Virginia Living Magazine and Arena Stage’s production of "Death of a Salesman". Hundley combines an experimental style with fresh conceptual elements. He is the single most awarded illustrator in recent years.
