Well, this has turned out to be quite a fine year. I have just received notification that I have received two Gold medals from the Society of Illustrators New York! The medals are in the Editorial category and the Advertising/Institutional category.

In all, five pieces were selected for the annual competition. I've listed the five pieces below.

I will be featured in the January/February issue of Communication Arts magazine! The writer, Matthew Porter spent several days with my wife and I, in Richmond.

Finally, I was one of two illustrators who was asked to create a divider page for Workbook. Another touching honor.

Another Gold medal winning illustration for Virginia Living magazine (see earlier post) with art director Tyler Darden

The second medal was awarded for my illustration for Death of a Salesman. The client was Arena Stage in Washington D.C. The art director was Ann Marie Czaban.
